Wastewater reuse

Water scarcity

Water scarcity and increasingly stringent environmental regulations have presented some unique challenges to industries that rely heavily on clean water sources for daily operations. Rising discharge costs can also pose a burden to many companies if they are unable to meet required permeate quality levels.

In order to ensure long-term sustainability and profitability, industries are installing and utilizing their own wastewater treatment systems that not only output quality permeate suitable for discharge, but these systems enable business to reuse treated effluent back into their processes to eliminate dependency on fresh water sources. However, the operation of conventional wastewater treatment systems also pose challenges that include extensive maintenance/monitoring, system shut-downs, costly chemical cleanings and high energy consumption.

With over 50 years of experience and more than 1.500 project references worldwide, Berghof Membranes is the leader in tubular membrane filtration for industrial wastewater and effluent treatment. Our extensive experience in a variety of industries enables us to offer best-in-class technologies and provide our customers with effective and energy-efficient solutions to maximize water reuse and lower overall costs.
